Child Abuse & Neglect Training

The Marion community is invited to participate in a FREE training course that focuses on child abuse & neglect warning signs, the investigation process and the laws surrounding it. The goals are to create awareness in the community and to contribute to the protection of abused & neglected children.

Two types of training are available:

  • A 3 hour session – Typically what people from the public really want to know; Why the agency is or isn’t intervening, what constitutes abuse and when someone should call in reports of suspected abuse.
  • A more detailed 6 hour session – Typically for day care providers and others who work with children on a regular basis.

All trainings are held at Marion County Children Services and are conducted by the Intake/Investigations Supervisor and/or Staff.
