| The
main qualification for adopting a child is the ability to provide
a home where there is love and opportunity for a happy and normal
childhood.
Married, single
or divorced persons may adopt, providing they are in good health
and self-supporting. Marion County Children Services can provide
financial aid to parents who adopt children with special needs,
such as medical problems or special education needs.
Working mothers
can continue to work outside the home in many cases, and families
can adopt even if they already have children. You need not own your
own home.
We invite you

children in our custody who are waiting for a loving home.
If you are interested in adopting one of these children, fill out the
information request form that is linked below, and a Placement Services
Caseworker will contact you.
